Two of my favorite trends this season are Denim & Suede. Not only do these two materials make great pairs of jeans and skirts, in the form of outwear they stand out in a crowd. They are the perfect amount of lightweight and cozy–everything Fall demands from your jacket.

If you are ever in San Francisco, I highly recommend climbing up the Moraga Steps.
Aside from the gorgeous view from the top, the steps themselves are a sight for sore eyes.

This Summer my beauty routine changed a lot. After joining the Ipsy Glam Bag trend, I started rethinking my whole look. I became more experimental, less regimented, and even decided less is more. Ingredients began to matter a little more, and I stopped looking at the face value of products. More often than not, beauty products can be used in more than one way.
Just Kissed Lip and Cheek Stain by Jane Iredale: 
This product describes everything I spent my Summer looking for. When I put this on, I am reminded of the multipurpose lipsticks our grandparents wore when they got ready for their first date. This lip and cheek stain is made from avocado oil, beeswax, olive butter, white tea leaf extract, pomegranate extract, and wild rose wax. It’s long lasting and light weight. Sometimes one product is all you need.

I went on a beautiful walk this morning with my family. As I looked out at the scenery, I couldn’t help but take in the wonderful sensation of Fall.
You may be thinking, why is she wearing heeled boots on a WALK?! Fair question. Let me tell you, Cathy Jean booties are SO comfortable because of their padded insulation. Additionally, I opted for a pair of boyfriend jeans, and a loose sweater to go with them. Casual, all the while staying stylish.

My everyday outfit right now consists of a heavy coat, skinny jeans, booties, and a scarf. For me, Fall Fashion is all about wearing the warm, yet pale tones in the air.
H&M’s coats are the affordable, and trendy. The shade of your coat is important in keeping the theme of your outfit alive.
To match, I’ve chosen a cozy Anthropologie infinity scarf.
Fall is the perfect time to experiment with your jeans— specifically different colors and patterns. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone!
I like my booties on the darker side, that way they’re more versatile. Sole Society is one of my favorite shoe brands. These boots help bring your look full circle.

Since it’s Halloween, I’m going to talk about how you can turn a costume into an everyday outfit!
Featuring my little sis, it’s easy to see how a few changes can really change EVERYTHING.
An outfit needs to have dignity, which means, show some self worth and cover up (a little). You can still show off your legs, just don’t show off everything. Maintaining curiosity is all part of the school girl demeanor. Wear flats, not heals. Keep the pig tails…and you’re ready for class.
For Halloween, it’s ok to go ALL out on make-up. In fact, check out this tutorial by The Western Wild. I LOVE costume make-up. However, switching to everyday mode calls for keeping things clean and simple. Urban Decay Naked 2 is the best natural shadow.

It’s my Three Year Anniversary! Last night we went out to our favorite sushi place, tonight we are seeing Fury, and tomorrow night we are going to Alcatraz!
Whenever I go out, I usually do the typical heels, maybe a dress, or at least skinny jeans thing. For some reason, I felt like mixing it up last night. Why can’t we still dress up without feeling uncomfortable?
I opted for the statement necklace and satin button down to keep my look classy. Sometimes that’s all you really need.
And my new shoes from American Eagle, of course! This season I am all about patterns; it adds personality and flavor to any look.
I’m not sure if I mentioned this, but I recently started working at Abercrombie & Fitch (this deserves an entire blog post, I know). Anyway, I get discounted clothes not only from Abercrombie and Abercrombie Kids, but also Hollister, which is where this coat is from!
Surprisingly, one of my best buys! It can be casual, fancy, and actually really useful in the city! More importantly, just what I needed to top off my date night look.
It’s time to pull back out my hat! The foggy city can do wonders to my hair…
This hat brings out the preppy side in me, and that’s NOT a bad thing. It’s fun to step out of my comfort zone.
Adding a pop of color to a simple look makes all the difference, and it really helps me feel confident when I’m experimenting with different outfits.
