White is one of my favorite colors to wear. It’s effortless, timeless, and clean.
I love to upgrade a pair of jeans with a classic white button-down. It adds structure to the outfit.
A classic white button-down is an understated basic that never goes out of style. Add a fancy heel and you’re ready for a nice dinner, or throw on some sandals and head to the beach.
Cotton is also the perfect material for summer. It’s lightweight and breathable, something I find myself valuing more and more.
Here are some Classic White options for summer:
I love being comfortable, but I also love being fashionable. The jeans and a t-shirt look, though very popular, used to bore me. I just thought it wasn’t stylish enough.
I started to brainstorm a few ways to elevate the casual look and came up with some ideas. First, opt for high-waisted jeans as opposed to low-rise. Then, try tucking in your t-shirt. You immediately begin to accentuate your figure, adding personality to the outfit.
Finally, ditch the sneakers and pick out a pair of feminine flats to balance the look. Before you know it, your outfit will be turning heads.
You can find my t-shirt and jeans here and here. My flats are sold out of blush, but here are a few similar options in the color:

During the hotter months it can be difficult to find a pair of pants that are lightweight enough to stay cool in.
As a girl who prefers pants over shorts any day of the week, I made it my mission to find a suitable option.
These Forever 21 pants were everything I was looking for–light, comfortable, versatile. Not to mention they made my legs look way longer than they are!
Unfortunately they are sold out, but I found a few alternatives:

Our favorite place to get coffee in the Sunset is at Andytown. At one point, I think we were going there religiously once a week. From the atmosphere to the coffee, this place is is great if you are ever visiting San Francisco.

Even on a foggy day, the Snowy Plover is a must. Once you try it, you’ll crave it.
For coffee runs, I usually wear a variation of this outfit:

Outerlands is one of my favorite spots to brunch in the city. They are located on Judah Street in the Inner Sunset, just a few blocks up from Ocean Beach. Since it is finally starting to feel like Spring in the city, we opted for outside seating.
I ordered the iced ginger lemon apple cider–a perfect way to start the day. You can even add bourbon if you don’t have class to go to after!
Joel began with a cappuccino…
…then upgraded to a gin and juice (ford’s gin, fresh grapefruit, vanilla bean syrup). Their sandwiches really hit the spot. Joel got the cast-iron grilled cheese with avo.
I chose their veggie sandwich (squash, feta, kale, romesco). Superb. Oh, and did I mention how much I loved the side of pickled veggies?! It was a refreshing touch.
Our sweet tooth couldn’t be ignored. We split the glazed donut (matcha, pepita, grapefruit). It was served warm and satisfied our cravings.
We were completely stuffed, so we decided to walk it off at Lands End. As you can tell from the picture, Joel doesn’t like taking selfies as much as me. Fear not…it hasn’t stopped me from documenting our every move yet! (he-he)
This is my go-to laid back look: cotton pants, a loose tee, sandals, and sunnies.

Yesterday was the first day of March. Though it’s technically still Winter, I am automatically starting to transition into Spring mode. I associate the color Blush with Spring (despite the fact that I wear it all year long). It’s light, feminine, flowery, timeless, and ethereal. Check out some of my Blush favorites for Spring:

The morning, happy thing,
Supposed that he had come to dwell,
And life would be all spring.”
― Emily Dickinson
I love Button-Down Blouses. I find myself constantly reaching for them on days when “I have nothing to wear”. Aside from dressing up any outfit, they are comfortable, versatile, and ageless. Here are a few Button-Down Blouses on my wish list:

San Francisco is full of great things to do. With so many options to choose from, we opted for a favorite–Ghirardelli Square. The desserts are decadent, and the scenery is unbeatable.

Since it is now 2016, I think it is appropriate to reflect on some of my favorite blog posts–going all the way back to the beginning! I love looking back and seeing how my style has evolved. I’m proud of these looks. This blog has been a wonderful outlet, and I’m so excited for what’s to come!
Happy New Year!!!
