Some months of the year make wearing your hair natural so easy! And then there’s summertime…

Don’t give up yet! There’s a solution for the days you don’t feel like blowing out those waves, because you’re just going to go for a midnight swim after dinner anyway.

You only need two products to achieve the “I didn’t touch my hair after the shower” look. The first, SEAPLASMA All Purpose Skin And Hair Moisturizer, I spray all over my hair after towel drying it.

The second, TRENDstarter Leave-In Styling Conditioner with Keratin, I spray into my hands before munching up on and twisting through my wet curls. All that’s left is the wait for your hair to dry, and in the summertime that’s pretty easy.

Six Inch Heels

Bette Midler once said, “I firmly believe that with the right footwear one can rule the world.”

I couldn’t have put it better myself, Bette! The right heel can be a game changer for the most basic outfit. You can find these strappy, beautiful pieces of footwear at Zara.

For a simple look, I try to do something special with my hair. My turtleneck tank inspired me to incorporate a hairdo from the same era– the 70’s. I started out by blow drying my hair to give it extra lift. Then I parted if far on one side. Next, I tied together, underneath the hair in the back, the front pieces of my hair from each side. All you need is a touch of hairspray and you’re golden!

As you may have noticed, I don’t wear a lot of super high-end designer pieces. My Louis Vuitton wallet is an exception. It was a gift a couple years ago, and I couldn’t resist its unique look. Unfortunately they no longer sell this particular piece, but any little clutch would do.

I am a girl who is much more comfortable in red lips, and this used to be because I couldn’t figure out how to make nude lips pop. However, I recently learned the secret– a red lipliner! It makes so much sense. I used the MAC Brick liner with L’oreal’s Fairest Nude lipstick, and it was a success.

Sporting an updo is never easy…

…but sometimes all you need is a statement necklace and a cute headband.

1. Find your favorite headband!

2. Place it on top of your head, leaving a few strands out. Then, tuck the rest of your hair in the headband.

Fin! A simple, romantic updo.

Forever 21 has tons of fun costume jewelry! With a big necklace like this, I will usually skip the earrings to keep the look less overwhelming.

Pocket skirts are the best, especially when they are high waisted. Tilly’s has many wonderful options to choose from. And once again, H&M is the supplier of this versatile top.

This look is quick, easy, and a great option when you don’t feel like washing your hair. Shh, don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone!

Ahh, and the shoes to match! Something that is comfortable for a busy day, and bold enough for a night out.

Want red lips that last? Try using a lip liner as a base for the whole lip! Helps the lipstick really stick, while creating a one of a kind shade that nobody else will have on.

Sometimes simplicity is exactly what you need…

Going to a fancy dinner? Pull back your hair.

Heading to an after party? Leave a few strands out to create the critically acclaimed “messy bun.”

Driving by was not enough. I decided this beautiful apple orchard was the perfect place to pose for a few photos in today’s outfit.

I always try to wear something comfortable when I know I’ll be spending most of the day in the car. Comfortable still means cute, and American Apparel has the best comfy, cotton, collared shirts around.

Pair the peach button down with your favorite boyfriend style Lucky Brand Jeans and you’re set!

The best types of outfits are the ones that can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood or the occasion. To make the outfit even more casual I would have traded my heels in for these flats.

Switching up your hairstyle can also help upgrade or downgrade any look! With dangle earrings, a low bun off to the side adds a touch of maturity. Pull down a few strands around your face to keep the style soft and sensual.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy is my new obsession! I used the shade called High Roller, and for those of you who don’t like to paint your finger nails because it chips off the next day– SAY NO MORE. This polish lasts AT LEAST a week without a topcoat, something that is unheard of in the world of nail polish.

Looking for a simple and clean eye look that lasts? Try a light toned eye shadow; look beyond the brand name and focus your energy on the product itself. This color worked beautifully for me, and it happened to be mac. I love the double-sided applicator brush. This way you can add more in the creases with the thicker and more defined end, or have an overall swoop with the opposite. Pencil eye shadow is easiest for me. Keep it crisp during the day and choose to smudge the line with your finger for a night out. Finally, a waterproof mascara because you don’t know what the day will call for.

Ever feel foundationed out? A tinted moisturizer is a great sub. The SPF is a good plus to keep your porcelain skin protected. Cheek stain is a fun alternative to regular blush as well. Gives you a natural pigment without the hassle of using a brush, and it blends well with the moisturizer. I use a dot of high beam on my cheek-bones, between my nose and my lips, and sometimes near my tear duct. Helps me feel, and look awake.

Organix, a great go to brand, healthy, and smells like a dream! Use them all together or one at a time. Sometimes I even use the Moroccan argan oil as a body moisturizer, and it does the trick. If you blow-dry your hair as much as I do, the anti breakage serum is a must have. Remember, a little goes a long way. I don’t always straighten my hair after a blow out, but if the events call for it, the smoothing treatment is a perfect way to tame the wave.
