This is my first month receiving my ipsy Glam Bag! I am so impressed by this month’s products that I had to share what I got:
1. be a bombshell lip balm in french kiss
This product is so hydrating! I also love how light the color is–perfect for an everyday look.
2. Bare Republic Mineral Tinted Face Sunscreen Lotion
My favorite part about this product is that it is 100% chemical free! It’s so hard to find a sunscreen that is natural. It feels light, the color is great for every skin tone, it smells good, and it protects you!
3. Coolway Beachy Salt Spray
This spray can be applied to wet or dry hair. It is mineral enriched, so while it’s adding texture to your hair, it’s also adding strength.
4. OFRA Bliss Eye Shadow & Highlighter
This color looks great on everyone! What I found really cool was that it contains natural sun filters. I love when I can use one product for multiple reasons–this one on my eyes and anywhere else I want to add a little highlight.
5. tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer
I’m so used to wearing a bronzer that has a shimmer, but this one is making me rethink my comfort zone. Without the shimmer, I appear way less greasy, and the tan looks more natural.
I highly recommend subscribing to the ipsy glam bag! The quality and quantity is totally getting the bang out of your buck.
For those of you like me, feeling frustrated with your short hair, here’s some hair inspiration! I always forget that there are so many different things you can do with your hair, despite its length.

I recently cut my own hair (not the first time…)! And then I went to the most amazing salon to get it fixed…and here is the finished product! I had one of the best salon experiences at Cetana Salon down on the Embarcadero.
1. The treatment: like a queen
2. The quality: incomparable
3. Learning experience: off the charts
Adrian was my hair stylist (I hope I spelled her name right!). She listened and really understood what I hated about my hair and what I wanted the outcome to be. She fixed my fringe, recommended an amazing new product, and taught me a new way to dry my hair (which I will do a separate post on). I finally feel like my hair will begin to grow out in a style that I’m happy with.
This is the product Adrian picked out for me! Over time, it will tame my hair in a way that makes it much more manageable–especially when natural. Oh, and did I mention they offer a complimentary bang trim between my next cut?!
Aside from my hair dreams…this is another pretty little thing to add to the list! Benefit Fake Up isn’t just an under eye concealer, but also a much needed hydrator (especially during finals week). 😦
Navy Fleet by Sally Hansen is my latest nail color obsession. It goes with everything. I swear.
This is number one on my summer reading list! Very excited.
And last but certainly not least, my new favorite quilted bomber by Gap. I simply cannot take it off…
Unfortunately, I have another couple years before I get to put on another cap and gown…but many of you may be getting ready for the big day! So here are a few of my tips and tricks I picked up from my high school graduation:
1. Blow your hair out like Emma Watson. Believe me, all the fuss of curling your hair isn’t worth it when you have to put your cap on.
2. Wear Sunscreen! Nuff Said.
3. Bring a bag! It can be discreet, so make sure it is small and has crossbody straps. I cannot tell you how much this came in handy when I got thirsty or needed to freshen up my make-up during the long ceremony.
4. Sunglasses!!! You never know which direction you will be facing when the sun goes down.
Urban and Steve Madden are great brands when shopping for an easy dress and wedges to match.

What does a day off from work call for? A photoshoot…duh!
Believe it or not, but this look didn’t have much prep work put into it!
I woke up with BED HEAD (didn’t brush my hair after the shower), and decided to curl my hair…it worked out better than expected! Then I put on my “dress up” crop top, some high waisted jeans, Freshman Year Formal heels from Bunny’s Shoes (my favorite hometown shoe shop), and called it a day!
It’s amazing what dressing up and getting out of the house can do for the soul! Photoshoots have surprisingly been one of my most favorite aspects of blogging.
I used to hate having my picture taken, but after a while I learned to experiment and found an assurance in myself that I had always lacked.
We live in such a divine place, and I have gained confidence just from realizing that I am a small part of this world.
I am dreaming of Summer.
I am eager to go up to the lake, lay out on the dock, and feel the sun on my skin.
The lake reminds me to SLOW DOWN. That’s what inspired this timeless ensemble.
Sometimes the trick is letting your hair down, wearing something that makes you feel confident, and looking through rose-colored glasses at the ever-evolving world.

What are your plans for Spring Break? If they involve some sunshine and relaxation, take these essentials into consideration…
Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
Classic Leather Sandals
Light-wash Boyfriend Jeans
Dry Shampoo (Whole Foods)
Chills & Thrills
If only it lasted longer than one measly week…
These cold Winter days give me a great excuse to experiment with my Summer style.
I’m actually wearing a maxi dress! Underneath this cozy sweater, it pairs like a skirt.
It’s a lot easier for me to leave my hair natural in the opposing months. You know, you get out of the water all day and putting the extra effort in just seems silly. This time of year, however, the extra effort becomes routine.
I decided to break the mold, and it didn’t turn out as awful as I anticipated. Giving my hair a break felt natural, and nature was the perfect setting.
Booties are all I seem to want to put on right now. With the warmer play on my outfit, it seemed all the more appropriate…so I just couldn’t resist.
On Me: Abercrombie Sweater
Lucky Brand Booties
Most of us picture holiday parties happening at night. However, many parties do occur in the day time. But what is appropriate to wear during the day?! I mean, it’s so easy to OVER DO IT.
Here is what I advise:
Holiday dresses can scream formal. Switching it up with a skirt and an eye catching top is a great alternative.
Velvet is a perfect material for the season. All you have to do is commit to a color scheme, and the outfit will appear as just the right amount of fancy and understated.
Wear heels, but something a little more casual– open toes to show off your fun holiday nails will do the trick! Don’t hold back on your accessories. Classy jewelry will keep your look whole.
If you’re every worried about what to do with your hair, just wear it down. It’s effortless, yet beautiful. Keep your make-up refined. A deep lip that matches the color scheme, and lots of mascara will be just enough.
